Form-A-Drain™

FORM-A-DRAIN™ is the patented 3-in-1 foundation solution that forms footings, provides an integrated drainage system, and can be easily adapted to vent radon where needed. Designed for residential basement applications, Form-A-Drain consists of lineal sections installed as the foundation footing forms. Unlike standard wood forms, Form-A-Drain lineals stay in place permanently after completion of the concrete pour, enabling them to function as a foundation drainage system and — because they form a complete sub-slab perimeter loop around the foundation — a key element of a radon reduction system. And because it stays in place, Form-A-Drain shaves valuable time from the construction schedule; there’s no need to return the next day to remove, strip, clean and transport forms to the next jobsite.

DISTRIBUTOR WARRANTY

CertainTeed Corporation warrants only to provide replacement material, without charge, for those of its FORM-A-DRAIN® PVC products proven to have manufacturing defects within ten (10) years of the date of delivery thereof, provided, however, that CertainTeed Corporation has first been given an opportunity to inspect the product alleged to be defective in order to determine if it meets CertainTeed Corporation's specifications and if the handling, installation, and operating conditions have been satisfactory and in accordance with acceptable practices.

THE FOREGOING WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, ORAL OR WRITTEN, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT SHALL CERTAINTEED BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY EXPENSE FOR REMOVAL OR REINSTALLATION RESULTING FROM ANY DEFECT.

Form-A-Drain lineals are manufactured from 100% pre- and post-consumer PVC, including common post-consumer containers such as shampoo bottles. The overall pre- and post-consumer recycled content of Form-A-Drain system components
is 92%.

CertainTeed diverts millions of pounds/year of PVC from landfills by recycling this material into our product formulation for Form-A-Drain. In addition to landfill waste reduction, the use of recycled PVC in our product reduces the release of CO2 from the extraction and processing of raw materials that are used to create virgin PVC.

The Form-A-Drain product reduces waste generated on the jobsite and saves time and money by eliminating the need to install, remove and dispose of conventional wood forms.

CertainTeed is committed to resource conservation. Our manufacturing facility in McPherson, Kansas has a comprehensive recycling program with a goal of zero waste disposed in a landfill, and we use a close loop process to recycle cooling water in the manufacturing process.

Indoor environmental quality is enhanced by Form-A-Drain and Platon since these products provide drainage and moisture control in the basement. Form-A-Drain is also an effective radon collection system.
